My thoughts of Marvel War of Heroes.

Hello everyone.  This is the first time I've checked this blog in a long time.  It's been well over a year since I played WoH.  I can't imagine that the game is as popular as it was during it's peak, but I'm still getting 50+ hits a day it seems, so someone is still playing the game, lol.

Even though my bank account suffered, I look back and have nothing but positive memories of playing WoH.  It was the first social MMORPG type game I had played since World of Warcraft.  I met a lot of people from all over the globe and even made a few friends.  I had countless hours of fun in-game and in Line chat.  My favorite in-game memory goes back to the early raids.  In those days you could use strategy to win valuable rewards without "buying" a raid deck.  I spent countless hours farming raid bosses for RDS bars (or whatever they were called lol), but had fun doing it!  My other favorite memory is when our alliance merged with another alliance and we competed in Shield Training.  We were so pumped that we placed Top 50.  For an alliance of mostly casual spenders that was an accomplishment.  My least favorite memory was when a trusted teammate and trading partner stole a bunch of EXPENSIVE cards while middling a trade that I was involved in.  Nobody accused me of stealing, thank god, but I was so pissed!  Why did I quit WoH?  Well I was burned out of raiding and Shield Training.  My expensive elite deck became worthless overnight because they mass released my center card and everybody could easily get one.  I just couldn't afford to keep up anymore.

What have I been up to since the WoH days?  Well I started playing Clash of Clans in December 2013 and am still playing.  I now lead my own elite clan, Jade Temple.  I played Star Wars Force Collection for about a year.  It was fun and I got to meet new people and also reconnect with some former Alliance members from WoH.  In the end it was costing too much money to build my deck (which was out of date because they kept releasing new cards) so I quit.  A few months ago I reactivated my World of Warcraft account and now play a PVP geared, level 100, Orc Hunter, lol!  I'm having fun playing WoW again.  Blizzard also has a year old trading card game called Hearthstone that I started playing this month because it is now available on Android and IPhones.  So far I love Hearthstone!  The best thing about it is that I can acquire strong cards without spending too much money.  The only thing I don't like about the game, and something I hope they fix, is their is almost no social aspect to the game.  No Alliances, Guilds, or Teams.  You can still play with your friends though so that is pretty cool.  I encourage everyone to give it a try.

Well as you can see I keep myself pretty busy with games still.  Well you know what I've been up to.  How about you?  What games, if any, do you currently play?  What were your favorite Marvel War of Heroes memories?
