My Gaming Philosphy
Before I start writing and posting my guides I wanted to take a few minutes just to describe my gaming philosophy. Keep in mind that my point of view of the game will be based on this philosophy and it may differ a lot (or not at all) from your own:
Marvel War of Heroes is a game. Games are supposed to be fun. If I stop having fun playing this game (or any game) I will stop playing it and you should too. Too many players in the Marvel WoH community take this game way too seriously! Some play the game like its their job. I have a career and life outside of Marvel WoH and I play this game for fun. There are several aspects to the game that I do not find fun and those mostly involve buying/selling cards and items to other players for real cash and cheating. I do not support and will not include information in my blog related to any of the following:
- buying and selling cards/items for cash (i.e. paypal) (not including MobaCoins, an in-game currency).
- listing any cash value of cards/items.
- abusing exploits in the game for personal gain (this is cheating).
- using any 3rd party software to enhance or abuse the game for personal gain (this is also cheating and is ruining the game for all of us).
I have worked hard to be successful at this game without buying my cards and items on a black market for cash. Many players of Marvel WoH do this frequently, and while it's against the games terms of service, can't be stopped or well controlled. If you are thinking about doing this you can find loads of info on other sites regarding the topic.
I also am an honest person and do not cheat. I didn't become successful in life by cheating my way to the top. Unfortunately there are a lot of different ways for Marvel WoH players to cheat. Some do it sparingly, some often, some for financial gain, and some to the extent that it has had a negative impact to all players of the game.
My gaming philosophy is that games are meant to be fun and I have fun playing Marvel WoH and I hope that through my blog you have fun as well.
NOTE: If you have never played a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game (Ever Quest, World of Warcraft, etc.) before then brace yourself. While I'm new to the MMO card trading games, I have played several MMO role playing games before and Marvel WoH is very demanding and time consuming. With that said if you don't want to invest at least a few hours a day (not necessarily every day) to this game then you may want to stop playing now. I would hate to hear that after 40+ hours of gameplay, you decided that MMO trading card games are not for you.
